Van Benschoten up, Arbiso in for Thunder

Friend of the blog Donnie Collins at the Scranton Times-Tribune reports that former first-round pick John Van Benschoten has been summoned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Van Benschoten, the eighth pick overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2001, replaces Boone Logan, who was called up to the Yankees after Chan Ho Park was placed on the disabled list.
Van Benschoten was 1-0 in two relief appearances for the Thunder.
Right-hander Cory Arbiso was activated from the Trenton DL prior to tonight’s game at New Hampshire and will take Van Benschoten’s spot in the bullpen.

MONDAY GAME UPDATE:
New Hampshire 5, Thunder 4 (F)
Drabek W,2-1
Pope L, 0-2
Farquhar S,4
Time: 2:30
Attendance: 2,884

RECAP:
Manchester, NH — The Thunder climbed out of an early five-run hole against Kyle Drabek, only to lose 5-4 at Merchantsauto.com Stadium tonight.
Losing pitcher Ryan Pope (0-2) gave up a three-run home run to Callix Crabbe in the second as the Fisher Cats scored five times.
Drabek, the key player in the trade that sent Roy Halladay from the Blue Jays to Philadelphia during the offseason, allowed three runs and walked five over five innings.
Trenton managed only one hit over the final three innings.
